“1" also does a good job of picking-up from the end of Grand Prix and takes things to the (near) modern era. It’s more polished and, in my opinion, lacks some of GP’s “punch” but it makes a good addendum for a new F1 fan.
“Most people in most cars are fine driving 80-85, but they mostly shouldn’t be going much faster.” Absolutely agree, especially when you consider that the majority of drivers have zero concept of what a tire’s speed rating is...
I grew up in Western PA and taking a supermoto (or a 2 seat convertible) on the backroads would be about the best thing about living there...
NP with some caveats: Knowing it was professionally converted, it doesn’t have any excessive flex; you live in an area (ie city) where a normal conversion just isn’t practical due to size and manuverability. This isn’t for everyone (obviously) but I can see where this would be a perfect vehicle for a certain subset of…
Last October my wife bought a 2020 RAV4 XLE Premium and I have to say, it is not a bad place to spend some time. It may not be the most interesting vehicle, but I can see why they are so popular.
“But dang does he have way more good luck than bad.”
I’ve done the exact same thing, on a Tacoma no less. I had a loan pre-approved but they were able to beat the rate (through the same credit Union) by a couple tenths of a point. I considered the interest savings a win and just let them keep any kickback from the lender.
All good points with the next to last paragraph answering my question of “Why the hell don’t they just eat the last 30% to save themselves the bad press?” Even if they replace it with a 2021 Escape Titanium, they’d be looking at eating at most about 10 grand which is hopefully less than this whole mess will cost them…
I kind of read your earlier comment ending with a laugh that slowly turned into ugly crying...
I very much agree. With all the complaining people do about “not having enough passing”, they have to understand that every on-track pass involves some risk. I like Verstappen more than Hamilton; but I have to admit that this wasn’t really anything more than Hamilton trying to get 100% of what the car could do, but…
“It’s warm...”
2319! We’ve got a 2319 over here!
I have a similar jacket just with the colors swapped (red jacket with blue stripe w/white borders). I found it with some vintage racing patches already stitched on. You won’t be disappointed.
Wow, if anything I’d say he’s over-qualified to be Arkansas Governor.
I’m with you, I actually thought it was an improvement...
Don’t mind me, I’m just here for the fireworks when people with no concept of sarcasm read your post...
“My Corvette is Best Corvette because only my farts in seats…”
There’s also the fact that it was during a race and the time required to do this would have made continuing the race pointless. They might as well save the wear on the power unit and transmission.
Unfortunately, titanium is waaaaay too corrosion resistant for Dave Tracy’s expertice to be of any help...
