I’ll admit on the gasket, I had a baby on the way and was pinching pennies so I went with the cheap one that came with the pump. Never again.

I actually think it was just a shitty one that came with the pump. Lesson learned...

Goddamn water pump gasket on my 98 Tacoma (5VZ-FE , timing belt driven pump). I just did the timing belt about 15k ago along with the water pump, belt tensionser, pulleys etc. While I’m at it I’ve gotta do the valve cover gaskets (seeping) and I might as well do the cam seals, along with all new timing components (I

In light of these revelations, Fuchsröre becauses fuch that fox and because it just feels wrong to rename a monument to someone’s death...

I’ll admit, I initially assumed they just went to an electronic selector like seemingly everyone else instead of a mechanical selector (I haven’t really paid any attention to Jeeps in some time and the image wasn’t coming through when I posted). My old Tacoma has a similar selector setup and it can be a bit of a bitch

Wow, that’s an exceptionally poor design... Reminds me of when I grenaded the transfer case on a second gen Explorer (be nice, it was my first car) by accidentally momentarily turning the 4WD knob past 4WD High with the truck in motion (there was no neutral position). I turned it back to high before anything happened,

The one that matches her bright grin.On the bright side, however, I’m quite certain Murray Walker will be astonished to see her enter the much-exalted race in the skies on a van and overtaking the other drivers (and motorcyclists) as though they were standing still. A van that somehow packs an M5 and a 911 GT3-R.”

Disappointed this wasn’t the headline image.

Especially a Subi with snow tires. We had a first gen Forester with winter tires for a winter beater (we live in a very hilly neighborhood north of SLC) and it was a tank. I’d take it over my Taco w/BFGs (not perfect but 3PMSF rated) 10 out of 10 times when it would get really nasty.

Absolutely agree with you and KCyclone. In stock trim, something looks “missing” without the side cladding. Add some aftermarket bumpers (I know these can be a touchy subject, I’m speaking of aesthetics only) and the no-cladding look is an improvement.

Dear sweet 7 lb. 8 oz. baby Crom I hope you’re right...

Three tips for future tubeless setups. 1) try FattyStripper rim strips, they’ve been a revelation for my fat bike; 2) don’t put sealant in your tire before its seated. Instead seat your beads, remove the valve core and inject your sealant, then inflate your tires. It’s MUCH cleaner this way 3) if you are struggling to

I’ve been trying to think of a crash in the past 20 years where there was any more than a few momentary flames and couldn’t think of one. There have been the scary, car disintegrating crashes but I can’t think of a single flaming one. Really a testament to modern car design.

My most vivid one was when I was backcountry skiing. I was coming down a bench-cut trail down a drainage, came around a turn and there he was about 10 yards away in the middle of a switchback. I know I startled him (he flinched when he saw me), this isn’t a good position to be in... His paddles were literally the

I was thinking the same thing. Anyone who has actually seen a bull moose up close in the wild knows just how little say they have in what that moose does...

Disregard, my comment was dealt with...

I’ll concede the point! I heard “new shitter” and could only think one thing...
