that makes sense, I’m glad they’re not totally shutdown. but I don’t think EA is even selling the game anywhere anymore.

which is exactly my point. with Gamespy shutting the game down EA could have updated the game to allow fans to host their own servers. there are tons of old games that live on today thanks to fan hosted servers, even GOG got in on the trend.

fuck EA. fans wouldn’t have to go to these lengths if EA had given the games proper online multiplayer support once Gamespy shutdown.

Seriously. People paid for these games, and if they’re not going to support them, customers have every right to do whatever they can to be able to ACTUALLY USE THE PRODUCTS THEY PAID FOR.
