I think the closest they ever got to replicating this formula was Predators.

their calculations don’t factor in how a lightsaber actually functions in the movies though. when a lightsaber is activated a force field is formed around the blade. this force field protects the wielder from harm, they can put their hand or anything else extremely close to the blade without feeling any heat.
