that’s not really the same thing. Bandai likes to experiment with stuff occasionally and that was one of those experiments.

it just sucks that the localization team misnumbered the games. it makes it really confusing to discuss the early Final Fantasy games. the US didn’t even get a proper US release of FF3 until it got remade for the DS.

no, Kiwami is a remake of the first game. the second game has never been remade though it did get an HD remaster along with the first game for the PS3 and Wii U which never came out in the US.

just remember that the US SNES version of Final Fantasy 2 is actually Final Fantasy 4 and the US SNES version of Final Fantasy 3 is actually Final Fantasy 6
