I’m starting* to think Trump is a pathological liar. He constantly lies about trivial things, his lies are instantly and easily exposed, yet he continues on as if nothing happened. Take for instance all the supposed speakers at the convention. Right after he says Big Ben and Tebow will be there, it’s immediately shot

If not, he can be in mine.

-2 points for unnecessarily ruining pesto.

high-end trash culture.

I know barely anything about fashion, but I always enjoy insight from genuine people who are into the industry, Julianne.

It was a different time then. Before at-home pregnancy tests, women didn’t know they were pregnant until the baby fell out of them.

I guess it’s possible that 1960s executives knew more about the prevailing culture than I do, but I have trouble imagining that a Senator’s daughter killing herself after finding out she was pregnant would bring public blame and scandal on the company that made the pregnancy test.

Nope, no way to make birds racist.

I also never said there was a problem with her being out of the public eye, in between album releases. Her reclusiveness could be a healthy thing, it could also be unhealthy. People could be reclusive for either. Her reclusiveness was beside the point, for me. I simply wanted to know if anyone had heard anything about

I grew up listening to Jimmy Buffet and 1) his early music is actually really good and he has some truly beautiful songs 2) Parrotheads are some of the friendliest music fanatics on the face of the earth and 3) Jimmy Buffet is a very nice guy.

Yeah, his concerts are about as benign fun as it gets so you have to be a special kind of miserable to take issue with them.

You can say what you said. It’s when you start using words like shrill, nagging, etc. that you’re entering dangerous waters because we rarely lob similar criticisms against men. For example, Trumps speaking voice aint that great, but other than mocking his pronunciation of huge, we don’t see that in the media much.

What a coincidence! It just so happens that there’s virtually always something objectionable about the voices of women who speak up in public. I’m sure it has nothing to do with internalized sexism. Just like how women are criticized for every vocal trait imaginable—saying “like” too much, upspeak, vocal fry—while men

It’s 19 years old. The song, the video, and Fiona in the video... 19 years old. Almost two decades. The song and video still feel fresh. It’s all timeless and genius.

And now I’m thinking about her. The last I saw of her was a few years back, and she wasn’t looking well, physically or emotionally. Does anyone know

But that’s a good one tho.

Me, too, but I think he’ll drag this out until he’s dead (or too infirm to stand trial). We can take solace in the fact that he’s going to die with a creepy legacy, and be the punchline to many jokes to come. That could hurt worse than prison for a narcissist.

It’s really good and honestly given how much my generation was raised on TV I think it’s important for how it simultaneously calls out overly-romantic/idealized notions of life you might have from basing things off sitcoms and other fiction (my fav line is “when you wear rose colored glasses, all the little red flags

I have said, I don’t really want a ring (although, if I was being completely honest, a nice little ring from etsy or something would be nice. Absolutely nothing over $200 tops. I’m thinking more like $50 is fine.) but I would much much rather spend that money on an awesome vacation somewhere.

I have always liked her but she is so infuriating right now. When she actually said that maybe four years of Trump would wake America up I wanted to drive her off a cliff myself. Yes, rich white lady who will be unaffected, please tell me how great a Trump presidency will be.
