If only the good people, son and wife, were armed there would have been a totally different outcome.  All 3 would be dead.  But, of course, it’s not the guns.  

Need is irrelevant. As an American citizen he was free to buy as many guns as he wanted. I feel for the woman who died, but if it wasn’t a gun it would have been a knife, or a chair, or a million other things.

No, the private message is written in a way that it’s clearly answering a specific question she must have asked and it was meant as private communication between a couple. This should never have been shared with the public.

Time for journalists to start following the money here, who is financially benefiting from this. Which of her aides’ spending doesn’t add up? Then have that aide prosecuted for Elder Abuse. Your first mistake might have been to go right to the Internet for a first-time purchase. A knowledgeable expert at an appliance store would have asked questions about your laundry space, current unit, needs, etc. and saved you some hassle, whether or not you purchased from them.
