Trust fall!

Big Bang did reveal the large flaw in Raiders story. That being that Indy has no impact on the final ending of the movie.

Hot Fuzz has a perfect screenplay. Every line is a joke or will be referenced later to make a joke. There is also an unbelievable amount of foreshadowing.

I studied Raiders of the Lost Ark in a screenplay writing class. That, to me, is a perfect film. (But now I'm going to check the ones on this list that I haven't seen!)

Another one I think should have been included: Raiders of the Lost Ark

I'd have to include Alien, although it was nice to see T1 getting its much-deserved love.

movies needing to be on this list:

I'd add The Matrix to this list – perfect hero character arc.

Why don't they just call it 'The Hobbit: War of Five Armies'?

Just thought I would put that here.

Am I telling anybody not to love it? He asked a question about why the prequels get so much grief as opposed to the original trilogy, and I tried to answer it. If you like the prequels, more power to you.

Hey Keith,

I'm a first-generation "Star Wars" fan who finds the prequels perfectly enjoyable.

Nostalgia can certainly color someone's appraisal of a movie, but I found this incident fascinating:

I'm in no way defending Jar Jar Binks - no one despises him more than I - but in the interest of accuracy, he did technically contribute to the overall plot by giving Palpatine emergency powers in Episode II.

Because it's not like the fact that we are always driving from place to place treating new complete strangers poorly that's part of the problem or anything.

I suppose if your definition of utopia is, "A slightly less-hellish commute where we can be less worried about distracted drivers and infuriatingly random traffic jams because the idiot a half-mile up doesn't know how to merge," sure, I'll buy it.

Good luck. Cars provide the masses with a very tantalising illusion of freedom. They don't see how much their way of life has been socially engineered by highways and zoning.

OH GOD YOU'RE RIGHT WHAT HAVE I DONE
