I mean, as it stands, the advice most often given to new players is getting their initial timing down on building—not what people consider the ‘fun stuff’ (unit engagements) but really nailing down proper worker macro and timings. And it turns a lot of people off.

I left the second they changed the talent tree to the new simplified shitty version. The game has changed too much since the vanilla release, i look at it now and don’t even see the same game as back then.
They’re also still charging 15 dollars a month with additional micro transactions on a ten year old game that you already have to dump money into the base game with five expansions to play. They’re going to have to have either a sequel or a new business model at some point. Who can justify that much money for one game?
Well, it’s not like there is much room to move around it.
