I’m totally behind GM on this one. I hate their cars, but what FCA and the UAW cooked up is dirty, and it’s fucking the workers too. Lock em ALL up.

A competitive advantage of billions of dollars through backhand deals isn’t whining.
Jalopnik Is Back On Its Bullshit Headlines About GM
It’s wild to hear that one of the largest developers in the world gives so much creative control to a single individual - I’m not sure even Miyamoto has enough influence at Nintendo to unilaterally can a project just because he doesn’t like one aspect of it. From Jason’s article, it also sounds like this CCO was one…
I imagine it would look like the Ranger.
The larger nozzles are so that people can’t put diesel in their gas car. They’ve been around for a bit, and it seems crazy late model VW diesels can’t use them.
Dumbasses are responsible because they can’t be arsed to look at whether they’re putting in petrol or diesel, so they had to make the diesel nozzle so big that it wouldn’t even fit in a petrol fuel filler.
So we all agree, I assume, that this is the swan song for the ICE / analog car - right? Like this is it - the ultimate - purely powered by exploding dinosaur remains through a manual transmission road vehicle that’ll ever be produced.
I do get what you are saying, and I agree that there is more here than DS is wrong, led retrofitters are right. Instead, what I’m interested is my and most of the other pro led retrofit folks who report being able to see more and farther with LEDs despite being told we must be crazy cause, see here, the led bulb isn’t…
The real reason is not a practical one, it’s because Jeep advertises the Rubicon’s maximum crawl ratio (and the magazines all quote it) and Ford wants to be able to beat that number.
A digital clock is faster and easier to read than an analog one, for sure.
If you look at modern aircraft displays, many of them have gone back to skeuomorphic engine displays because they are easier for pilots to glance at and quickly interpret the necessary information.
That sounds like the kind of stupidity that someone should write a book about. Maybe later to be turned into a movie.
Oh yea for sure. The only way it can even approach being light is as a purpose built tube chassis. For a consumer vehicle I’m just glad it still weighs less than a house
You can’t give them too much shit about being heavy in this particular case. Each wheel and tire are like a combined 100 lbs and also a crapton of rotational inertia. The leaf springs and all their hardware are also very heavy. I can’t think of a way to make lighter while keeping them durable and cost effective
We banned the Dukes of Hazzard paintjob? Excellent, racism solved, everyone. Way to go. Because the only people cosplaying the single most famous paintjob for a Charger were all Klan members, no exceptions.
Just thinking about this....Bronco Sport R (HI Power 2.3), Bronco R (3.0 Ecoboost), and Full Size Bronco R....pending.... (based off of Raptor with GT500 engine). Basically in a span of 1-2 years Ford will have eaten Jeeps lunch. Disclaimer...this will most likely happen if economy doesn’t tank.
Banning people accused of sexual abuse? Glad we are still all-in on due process.
Honestly I have mixed feelings about this.
On the one hand, I definitely think twitch shouldn’t give a platform to abusers, but I’m a little leery of them banning accused abusers, and not proven abusers. Hard to think of a valid correction for that though, given how hard it typically is for victims to see any justice…
For 40K I can get a Ducati V4R with a 998cc motor that weight 410lbs and has 210+ hp and just won the Superstock race at Road America, a noted Power Track. And spend the remaining 60k+ on maintenance and tires, lots and lot of tires. Plus it is fully sorted from the factory. Might even get a comped leather suit and…
