I am, in fact, an IT consultant/engineer. I simply don’t give a shit. I pay LOTS of money for very good insurance. If my shit gets stolen, I get new shit. I didn’t even have KEYS for my house in Maine for the first decade I owned it, we literally never locked the place. When your house has glass windows, locks only

I have zero desire for any car where I have to fuck around with putting physical keys in locks. I have my Luddite tendencies when it comes to cars, but keys are very much not one of them. I have touch code locks on my HOUSES too. Physical keys are relics of bygone days.

I’ve lived many places, but when it came time to choose someplace to live as a hardcore car enthusiast, I chose LA. I mean, really no place compares. Sure, Detroit has a cool cruising scene along Gratiot and Woodward, and Florida is an automotive free-for-all, but no place in the US is like Los Angeles.

West, north or south.

Exactly! The F150 and the Colorado and plenty of other trucks have a clutched transfer case that can act as a center diff, making them useful in snowy weather. 4H would be a pain on partially snow-covered roads that midwesterners deal with for several months a year.

I myself strongly prefer a center diff for driving in snow.

Locked front and rear driveshafts necessitates tire slip to navigate turns, and tire slip is exactly what you’re trying to avoid!

That said, 4wd Auto may require CV axles, which I’m not a fan of. But then again, this IFS Bronco already has CVs over U-Joints,

Another interesting tidbit from TFL:

This is the official Chevrolet GT4 car built by the same group that builds the C8.R, who also built the C7.R, C6-R and C5-R

The line about differentiating to sound more like an exotic really disappoints me.

I hope the guy who owns an RX-7 and Ferrari can at least help to replace that guy’s busted transmission, if not more.

I think I’m in a minority here, since Elite fans have been clamoring for space legs for years, but most of what’s being teased for Odyssey is the opposite of what I want out of Elite Dangerous. I like sitting in my chair and doing everything with a stick and throttle. I like living out space pilot fantasies from my

“Hey America - we know you want the Yaris, but how about instead we give you the same motor but put it in a car that’s bigger and heavier?”

Half the reason I like the GR Yaris is because it’s a proper 2-door hatch. Whatever “hot” Corolla we get is guaranteed to be a 4-door, which instantly kills my hype levels.

BRING BACK 3-DOOR HOT HATCHES!

I really like Toyota, but seriously....FUCK YOU for not giving this to us.

It means WAY MORE factory teams. Cadillac, Mazda, and Acura are heavily involved in DPi. This means costs will be somewhat reasonable instead of the F1 sized budgets that LMP1 costs now.

That’s relatively standard product binning. Lower priced CPUs are often produced from flawed dies of higher end parts, with the flaws cut out. Once a process matures, yields go up (meaning fewer flawed dies), and production costs go down. Which makes it cost effective to sacrifice the good dies to fill that product

A car that can go 180 pulls like crazy from 40-70.

From Jalopnik? Really?

I don’t have any proof that government disposal centers really do anything “better” for the environment than that
