The ‘very fast future of racing’ that came absolutely nowhere near the 919 Evo’s time around the nurburgring despite being designed from the ground up for one shot time attack instead of endurance racing...I’d be pretty interested to see what the 919 could do up Pikes Peak and the Goodwood track as well. ICE power

Not to mention it didn’t come anywhere close to the 919 Evo’s Nurburgring time so it’s not like it’s the fastest thing around even despite being purpose built for it.

On bikes, yeah, if you go over close to the top you’re going to have a bad time of it, it’s a long way down. As others have mentioned, the Isle of Man is much deadlier, but it’s not exactly uncommon here.

Bentley is also turbo, it’s a twin-turbo W12. It’ll be an interesting battle, the Bentley has a 100hp advantage over the old 911, and maybe it’ll be able to avoid running out of breath a little better with the much larger displacement, but as you mentioned it’s at a pretty serious weight disadvantage.

I live in Vancouver. This is...funny, but not surprising. Lots of McLarens and lamborghinis running around, coupled with the fact that the speed limit on that highway is, frankly, absurdly low. It’s 4-5 lanes each direction, divided highway with proper on and off ramps, basically straight, and very well lit. Flow of

Come on, you can’t pit the 7th gen Celica GT-S against an ITR. It matches up against an Integra GS-R in more of a fair fight but the ITR is another level above. Or put the ITR against the 6th gen GT4 Celica, then you’re comparing the same years. I think the turbo 4wd Celica would take it then.

Now playing

It sounds much closer to the GTE Ferrari 488 to me - twin turbo flat plane V8. Listen at around 2:04, there is a Ford GT followed by the Ferrari, the C8.R sounds much closer to the latter in my opinion.

The only mid-engine car I’ve had significant experience with is an SW20 MR2. Compared to my C6 Z06, the MR2 is SUBSTANTIALLY louder inside the cabin. Even versus the C6 with the exhaust set to loud mode, and even with a much smaller engine, it’s right behind your ears and it is LOUD. You seem to get more heat from the

To start with, anyways, that’s the assumption. 6.2L LT1. Maybe they’ll make some incremental improvements and call it the LT2.
The different or exciting engines will probably come on a Z06 or ZR1 variant, and in the C8.R race car.

Couple of somewhat interesting bits in here

Probably a smaller, flat-plane, possibly turbo V8 in that one. Speculation being that the later high performance C8s will get a similar engine, but the C8.R will be using it right off the bat.

That was the C8.R prototype rather than the road car - speculation is that it has a flat plane, turbo V8 that the road vehicles might get a version of later. The rest of the road cars sure sound like they are still using the venerable 6.2L pushrod motor.

For off roading in particular, having a very large displacement motor means you have a lot of torque available at very low rpm. This is good for moving slowly over large obstacles as you can do it essentially just off idle instead of needing to build boost - gives you better control.

I haven’t owned either, but I have to say Camaro. The majority of the time in history it seems the Camaro has been the faster car for the same level of option, even through most of the current gen. Generally a same year SS Camaro is faster than a GT Mustang, the 1LE is faster than a GT Performance Pack, etc. Back when

I want it to be mitsubishi, the Evo is a cooler vehicle in my opinion, it has more interesting tech (AYC) and I like how it looks better (though I’ll give an edge to old Scoobies that still have the boxer burble for sound. The new equal length header cars are meh).

We’ve seen a 2 door prototype running around too, which does look pretty similar to this lego model: (hope it’s ok to link other site’s spy photos)

Neutral: I for one, welcome our robot overlords...or perhaps am the harbinger of them. I write software to automate manual tasks. I’m not scared robots are coming for my job, but I do occasionally wonder how many people no longer have the job they did because of what I do...

It sounds like the vast majority of issues are with the B and C versions, are the A versions generally pretty sound at the moment? I guess the air force may be counting their blessings a bit.

Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast had the g_saberrealisticcombat setting you could turn on that made the saber insta-dismember anything. That went for opposing saber wielders against you as well, of course. IMO it made the game muuuch better

g_saberrealisticcombat 1 made jedi outcast a much better game in my opinion. And not just because of flying through groups of stormtroopers making a pile of limbs. The combat against other saber wielders was probably the most accurate depiction seen anywhere - one mistake and you die.
