This is exactly why I got my Pajero Evo from Brave Auto in Japan, they do all the work of finding nice cars for you, and you can just peruse them on the website. I don't think they get any cars less than auction grade 3.5, and they inspect them all themselves beforehand. Can't recommend more. They do non-JDM cars as

*Crosses fingers and hopes blindly* I love my Evo, a new one would be amazing.

Ok, so the 1993 Corvette ZR1 gives me 61-70% Jalop (I think the factory digital dash helped a lot), but the JDM Pajero Evolution only gives 21-30%. Interesting.

While this definitely shows that the CR-V isn't intended for any hardcore offroading, I don't think it's actually a huge issue for its intended use. It's not uncommon for limited slip differentials to not be able to transmit any power if one wheel is completely off the ground (in Torsen type limited slip differentials

We've got to get to Mars so we can discover all the super alien technology that's hidden there. All those Sci-Fi movies and games are true stories from the future, right? Prothean ruins?

If you're in the states, that might not work so hot. They were JDM only, so mine just became legal to import into Canada (where I am) last year.

Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution. It's the homologated version of the most successful ever Dakar racer, and I just finished winning my class in a rally in mine, completely stock.

If this is done right, I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually got better rear-biased weight distribution than the original. Sure, just the engine is heavier, but after you remove the engine, turbo + piping, intercooler + piping, front diff + drivetrain components, then replace with just an aluminium V8...could be

Can they please apply the same styling to, say, the new VFR800? Now that would be something I would want. This is a little too Goldwing for me.

Yes! That's how I always described the VFR800's sound. Take a well tuned small block and shift it up an octave or two.

It looks good, it really does. Now shrink it down about 30%. If it's bigger than a third gen S10, it's too big.

Damn it, just when I was sure that I could be content with the V6S because it was the best balanced...

Rubicon has an electronic sway bar disconnect, the transfer case is 4:1, and it has front and rear locking Dana 44s with a 4.10 ratio. It basically goes from being the same level of capability as an FJ Cruiser or Xterra Pro4x to being in a class all of its own for stock vehicles.
