Got to be Jackie Stewart. Apparently not only did he hock cars for Ford, he refused to do it unless he was happy with the merchandise, and he wasn't someone who accepted "almost".

It 'runs' and it's a Lagonda for $20k. As the master of stupid decisions, I'd buy it but it's a world of trouble.
I'd have been happy just to hang a shell somewhere and look at it. I really did love the Aptera. It's been (in rotation) my desktop image for three years.
I know...
+1. I'd have carried a bodyshell on my BACK to the port to get one of those.
Fuck. I'm really gutted about this. I'd really pinned a lot of hopes on the low drag body - even if I wasn't convinced that it'd really get 400mpg.
It's bollocks. They were followed by security the whole way round who were in contact with their control. The control decided not to take action because they didn't want to cause undue harm and the protesters got nowhere important.
Beat me to it. Bang on.
John Z Delorean vs the World (and himself).
Damnit Giz. Where's Giz UK's version?
ZOMFG. MUST. KEEP. HANDS. OUT. OF. WALLET...
I know it's reaaaaly pointless but I'm planning to retrofit. Can't fit the ski bag because I've got split folding. I'm missing window blinds, heated seats, "rear-view compass" and heated steering wheel.
BMW's "Ski-bag" and "rear window blind" have to rank fairly highly.
Want.
So let me get this straight. The ONE documentary that aired (in the UK) in regular theatres and grossed more than some "feature films". The film that even caused an 80 something year old lady say on the BBC that she didn't care about racing or cars but that it brought her to tears.
1st gen Lotus Elan. No question
