In this case I think the side protection for the driver’s head was actually what saved him. It looks like Nissany’s floor actually caught on the vertical bar of the halo which is why Hauger’s car lurched so violently sideways.

That was a lot of words to say “I don’t own a car”.

I’m not sure I would describe having someone within DRS range of you for the last 12 laps as “comfortable”, but Max did what he needed to in order to keep Sainz behind him.

To BMW, sedans and coupes are interchangeable. Just put a different badge on it, charge $5k more, and a sedan suddenly becomes a coupe!

Because at least if the money is going to the guy who made it, he may use some of it to make more things in the future.  If that money is going to fund a local sleazeball’s new boat you just feel like you’re being screwed.

Not just around here.  Our entire governmental system is based on that thought process.

Yeah, the pricing of anything used or legendary is all over the place. Honestly I haven’t had any issues buying whatever used cars I want, as I think the most expensive I’ve seen was in the $300k range and could be bought new anyway for not much more.

It’s clear you haven’t played the game, because “the best” cars are not the most expensive.  The most expensive cars are mostly all classics, but you don’t actually need any of them to beat anything in the game.  All of the complaints are 100% about people who want to be able to buy the cars they want sooner.  I agree

Eh, when I think “microtransaction filled” I think of games like Rocket League or Warzone that constantly splash ads all over the screen for the newest cosmetic BS that you can only get by paying money for.

I wouldn’t say it’s “microtransaction filled”, the only thing you can buy is credits. I do agree that race payouts are way too low considering how expensive the cars have gotten. You want to adjust the price of cars to be more in line with real life inflation? Ok, but you’d better up payouts as well so people can

The only reason it takes time to learn controls now is because car companies (and customers) insist on putting everything on a stupid touchscreen. When you had a section of the dash for HVAC and a section for the radio, it was incredibly easy and intuitive to operate all of the controls on any car. Window switches are

digital assistant handles connections to apps like Alipay and Taobao and “does everything for me from opening the windows to turning on music”,

Define “should”. Should the 99% of people who don’t drive drunk be forced to blow into their car every time they need to go anywhere? Should I care if someone is too stupid to wear a seatbelt and gets themselves killed? Should we restrict everyone to exactly the same speed so there is no passing, no speed difference

I don’t work on a production line making base pay in the US. And if you were to ask me, US autoworkers are grossly overpaid, especially when you compare them to other manufacturing jobs in the US where you’re lucky to get $15/hr to start.

I see nobody has replied to you, probably because they have no argument against what you said. As someone who has spent quite a bit of time in Mexico, cost of living is absolutely the main difference between there and here. There’s no comparison in the cost of food or alcohol, and housing is incredibly cheap. Granted,

Wouldn’t it be the same thing as we have now, just with a lot more “baby”s thrown in?

Ah. The article was about his grid walk, so you can understand my confusion. I’d be fine with them bringing someone new in at some point as Brundle does seem to get confused quite often (although it’s kind of endearing). That said, after hearing Ribbs’ interviews after the race, he’s not the guy.

It was asinine and idiotic. Brundle being uninformed makes him “a robotic dick” but Ribbs being uninformed is “fresh”?

Did you really just suggest Willy T over Brundle?  Did you not watch the post-race interviews Ribbs did?  That was the most painful thing I’ve seen in a long time.

Yeah, let’s go the Willy T Ribbs route. Those post-race interviews were definitely less embarrassing than a little British man incorrectly identifying Mr. Random Semi-Celebrity.
