Accurate. I was once on a hotel shuttle that decided (maybe since it had Americans on it? I don’t know) since traffic was stopped, the best idea was to drive over the median into oncoming traffic, go around the stoppage, and get back onto the correct side of the road.

I agree they missed a LOT last season, as the on-track racing deserved a show all on its own.  But I went into it knowing they wouldn’t do a recap of the season because that’s never been the point of the show.  I just enjoyed Mazepin telling us how the clouds are different in Russia.

DTS gives a lot of back story (some of it possibly fabricated), but doesn’t give you any sense at all of how the races actually progress.  As someone who has watched every race for the last 4 years or so, as well as every season of DTS, even I am completely confused sometimes about what happened in the last race…

Commercial-free broadcast that can be watched on-demand.  Making it available whenever people have the time to watch is just as key as missing key moments during commercial breaks.  My friends and I get together Sunday afternoons to watch.  If you could only see it live at, what, 6am like in the past, I’d never watch…

I always wonder what article someone just read when they randomly go off like that.  Clearly their brain is making a connection to something unrelated, but I always wonder if there’s some specific driver or if they’re just always on edge.

He’s currently in Moscow. If he speaks out he’ll get a lot more “cancelled” than his F1 seat. Now if he decides to move to another country (away from his dad, his dad’s money, his friends, and everything he knows), then we may find out whether he actually supports the war or not, but I’m not surprised he’s not…

I can see how Mazespin feels screwed. His dad bought him an F1 seat in the long-honored tradition of pay drivers, and now he lost it (along with all the money spent to buy him the seat) due to factors outside of his control.

Good point, I forgot about that possibility.  That would of course mean no driving to the track, so hopefully the ferry parking lots can handle the traffic.

Very cool idea.  The only problem I see is there’s only 1 road in and out.  I suppose if you turned it into some sort of ski-lift type pedestrian-only transport system it could work, but no way could it ever happen if people were driving to and from the island.

Obviously I do not live in a large city (well, I do, just not downtown). Traffic jams are much more my speed.

Well, injury is probably worse than death.  If they’re dead, they don’t really notice.

Honestly there are a hundred other things I’d be just as worried about catching as Covid if I were smashed around that many people.
