You know it’s available on PS4 as well, right?  I know they don’t sell those new anymore, but surely you could find a used one pretty cheap to hold you over until you can snag a PS5.  Plus, you’ve got until March (let’s be real, it will probably get delayed until July), so hopefully you can find one by then.

Ehh, GT Sport had the same requirement and was pretty fair about it. You don’t actually need to buy anything super expensive, and they actually wouldn’t let you spend real money on the most expensive cars (otherwise you could just buy yourself a trophy/achievement). In fact, it took them a year or two before they even

But if they do that, you’ll stop trying to buy a PS5, which means they lose out on all of those future software sales through their store. Also, if they sell on Steam or whatever, they lose something like 30% right off the bat to Steam, which leaves a very small share for Sony to actually make. Selling it on the PS

I have a friend who will straight up stop playing a game if there’s nothing left to unlock.  He likes to see the “congratulations!” pop up on the screen, it’s the one thing that keeps him playing.  I don’t get it, but apparently people like that are a huge percentage of gamers.

Actually this would work just fine. You don’t need a good internet connection, just enough of one to upload/download a few megs of save data.

This. Someone could cheat in single player to get whatever cars/parts they want, then jump online with those cars. Now granted, everyone else would also be able to get them, it would just take them a lot longer.

So... make it a 2-day event instead.  Problem solved!

If it was user error, why did it stop happening?

Ah... no.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there is.

GT Sport you couldn’t buy credits, but you could buy specific cars with cash (from $1 to I think maybe $5 at the most).  You couldn’t buy any of the most expensive cars in the game with cash though, had to grind to earn in-game credits for those.

Sounds have been much improved throughout GT Sport’s lifespan. I think they finally realized they needed to record them while under load instead of just free-revving them in neutral. Apparently they hired away one of the sound designers from Forza a few years back which helped a lot.

I’ve been a bit burned out on video games for a while, and with 3 kids and working out most nights I rarely turn on my console anymore.  With that said, I’m am so incredibly pumped to throw my personal health to the wind and binge this game every night after the kids are in bed for weeks straight.  March can’t come

The license test was easy.  Did you ever try Mission 34 of the challenges?  You literally had to cheat perfectly to beat it.  It took me probably a week to get past that one, it was literally broken on the US version.

Correct.  Their DLC system for Sport was great, and I felt like it was fair.  I have a friend who doesn’t get much time to play, and he’s spent a few bucks on some cars he really wanted to get.  Meanwhile I’m able to just buy them with in-game credits, and never felt like I had to spend money to advance in the game or

1. GT has online-only saves, that’s why it requires an internet connection. There won’t be any multiplayer in the single-player campaign.

While I’m disappointed that there are so many cross-gen exclusives, I can also understand why it’s happening. Not only is it really easy to do so now since the PS4 and 5 are now basically just custom PCs with varying power levels, but they also have to do so because Microsoft has shown no interest in leaving last gen

Didn’t they make some comment about focusing on Forza Horizon for the forseeable future?  I don’t think we’ll see Forza 8 anytime soon.

All DLC for GT Sport was free, except that weird Lewis Hamilton time trial thingy.  They released something like 100 cars post-launch, plus a number of tracks, and didn’t charge a cent for them.  I’m not too worried about microtransactions.

A few new wheels coming out soon that are very interesting.  Thrustmaster seems to be coming out with an updated one, and Fanatec is coming out with a semi-affordable direct-drive wheel as well.  I may step up from my G29 to the Fanatec if I can bring myself to do so.  March is tax return time... hmm....
