My first car was a 35 year old Pontiac with no A/C (especially after I cut out the compressor), a wonky electrical system that left me stranded multiple times, barely-functioning brakes until I was able to source new autoadjusters (someone had removed them prior to my ownership), oxidized paint, a worn-out suspension,

I bought a G27 to play GT5:Prologue on the PS3. After a few thousand miles I gave it to a friend in Florida who used it for a bit, then gave it back as he didn’t play much. So I gave it to another friend who used it for a year or two before buying his own G29. Then I gave it to another friend who has been using it for

Ah yes, a man of culture I see. I use the fingertip shift method with the H-pattern on my G29 as well, it goes something like this:

Yep.  In no world can I imagine a 9 year old trying to open a can of beans for 6 minutes, much less 6 hours.  Unless the can of beans was a crappy free gacha game on their tablet, in which case maybe.

I must have read that book hundreds of times.  I think it’s in my parent’s bookshelf, I need to bring it home for my kids.  I bet my son would love it.

The guy’s story is clearly fake. No way is a 9-year old going to spend 6 hours on anything without a screen attached to it.

Don’t worry, he’ll move to Florida soon and blend into the scenery.

Honestly, the unrest in the country over the last few days has been very worrisome”

Maybe “fun cop” is a better description?  As long as he never arrested anyone else for street racing, of course.

Right? Why do sourpusses always try to drag everyone else down with them? Just let us enjoy a cool car. I was on the fence about actually watching the video, but now I’m going to watch it out of spite.

Not to mention that Tesla had an immense amount of venture capitalist money thrown at it to get it past years of losses, something which the established companies did not have the luxury of.

I get about 2 hours to play per night, but only if I skip working out. I bought Ghost of Tsushima when the PS5 released and it’s the only game I’ve been playing during the week (Friday and Saturdays nights are usually multiplayer games with friends). I’m maybe halfway through with it, and might be able to finish it by

Most stores are not doing in person sales of the systems.”

Yeah, you probably should have led with that.  “I have a PS4 to play Sony games on, but I got a Series S to play all the Xbox games I’ve missed out on over the years.  I’ll wait on the PS5 until more exclusives come out for it.” is a much more reasonable argument to make.

The potential for games to look a little nicer and boot faster is not, I would imagine, worth $500 for most people.”

I still have all of my old consoles, and I have all of my old games. I never plug any of them in and play them.

I don’t get it either. Maybe it’s just because I barely have time to play the big new releases I want to play every year, but I never have any desire to go back and play games from previous generations. If I did, I would pull out the PS1, 2, or 3 I have stored in a cabinet unused for decades.

This. I love hearing Side A complain that Side B is doing the same thing Side A did last time they were in control. I guarantee we’ll hear the same complaint from the Republicans again when the Democrats control both houses.

What’s funny is the republicans said almost exactly the same thing as her when the ACA was railroaded through.  The response was “we have to vote on the bill to know what’s in it”.  So yeah, I have a hard time having sympathy for any of them (or the people who continue to vote party line).

I remember those Oreca Vipers.  I was fascinated by them when I was a young teen.  I remember printing every picture of them I could find off of my grandparent’s color printer.  They were not happy.
