Didn’t work for GTLM.  You had all the cars going nose to tail, and occasionally they’d get the BOP wrong and one team would dominate barring a pit screw-up.  It was more of a game of “who got screwed by BOP this week” instead of “who built the better car”, which is not what anyone wants from their motorsports

Speak for yourself.  Personally I like to see teams be rewarded for innovative ideas that give them a performance boost over their competition.  Unfortunately the BOP rules completely nixed any performance advantages for anyone, so why even really invest if you can just wait a week and have your power bumped and

That’s what I can’t figure out.  They’re legally mandated, but other than moving the kid’s neck/shoulder up higher I fail to see how they do anything but provide a less stable seating surface.

Haha, we were looking to give one of our old car seats away and my wife pointed out it was expired. I just laughed and pointed out it was all hard plastic and styrofoam, at which point she agreed with me that the date was just a ploy to get you to spend more money.

This was always my thought as well, although I’m pretty sure they really only make a difference for shoulder harnesses.  I fail to be able to reason in my mind how a booster seat is going to improve the retention ability of a lap belt, but my wife insists it somehow makes a difference.

The problem is Toyota didn’t even put automatic headlights on their lower-trim models until a few years ago.

I can’t tell if you’re presenting Tesla’s process as a good thing or a bad thing, but I can assure you that’s a terrible way to operate.

I drove it in Texas and Georgia for 8 years with no A/C. It’s probably why even now I drive my car (which does have A/C) with the A/C off and windows down on all but the hottest/most humid of days.

My first car was a ‘66 Pontiac sedan, which was basically just a vinyl couch on pillow suspension. The seats could have been a lot more overstuffed, but the ride and handling were very land barge-y. Currently my wife drives an ‘05 Yukon XL with cloth seats, and let me tell you, that’s the most comfortable vehicle to

I mean, they already named Magnussen’s replacement too, and he’s actually racing this weekend.

No. Mercedes is not going to replace Hamilton with Russell, that’s just crazy talk. Now, replacing Bottas with Russell? That’s a possibility.

This is what I expect as well, but if Bottas performs like he has in recent weeks and Russell performs well, it will make for a lot of fun discussion, and I think that’s what people are hoping for.

Scorpion, though, reminds me of the kind of tracks I used to draw when I was a teen, when I’d take a Google Maps printout of a circuit or my local surroundings and trace a better route in and around it.

The real question is why Jeep charges $500 more for delivery than BMW?

Notice I said “stab, then feather”.

Oh I believe it.  Listening to the RPM changes is probably the most useful input you get when sliding a car, so without that I imagine it would be really difficult.

Yes, but I would assume flooring the pedal in an electric car would, if anything, be even more likely to make you spin than in a gas car, so it’s not advisable in either.

Shush, that’s no fun.

Haha, yep. Next time try finding the limit of the tires with the tail still tucked, then just give it a quick stab and the rear should step out without coming around.

I dropped the pedal all the way to the floor
