I think the real issue here is why did the guy drive off the road and into a tree?  His claim that he was adjusting the wiper speed is dubious at best, and most likely he was just not paying attention or dicking around with something else.

Good for you! I’ve never had an automatic climate control system choose a comfortable fan speed, and therefore believe there should always be a physical button or dial with which to adjust it.

Sure, circumstances are different for everyone. Point is, there are more ways to get rich than “luck or screwing people over” as Bradley said. Getting noticed or being in the right place at the right time may be a leg up on someone else, but it doesn’t mean you only made your money because you got lucky. Suggesting so

No?  Ok, well whoever it was when PG left.

Oh I’ve noticed it, it’s why I spend more time on The Drive than over here now. Well, that plus they tend to report on things a good day or two earlier.

Right?  Making a profit at this point is actually good news.

Where have you been? Ever since Orlove took over they’ve been way more open with their college-kid angstiness.

Some people like those things? Honestly I thought it fell under the same category as putting black plastic panels on the C-pillar to make the rear window look bigger.

Come on, man, hyperbole is the best way to make your point on the internet. Reasoned responses just make you look like a nerd, or worse, not agreeing with the herd. Get with the times.

Did you get to keep the money? If so, yes.

Why are you so jealous of people who have enough money to allow this car to exist?  What is it in your own life that you’re not happy about?

*states you have to be lucky or screw other people to get rich*

I didn’t realize jealousy, prejudice, and stereotyping were considered signs of maturity. Noted.

Also one of the reasons he’s the most popular is because of his standalone movies published by... Sony.

For those of you lucky, or exploitative enough, to be able to afford one, you’d better damn well drive the thing.

Sony bought the movie rights from Marvel in 1999. Sure he was popular, but Marvel wasn’t doing anything with him at the time, and Spider Man was the first hugely successful superhero movie, which definitely kept him at the top of the popularity pile. Let’s not act like Sony had nothing to do with the desirability of

It does though, because post-launch content could be developed separately and at the request or payment of a specific entity. The game will launch everywhere with the same content.

I personally hate the term “hypercar”, but considering it was basically invented for the P1/FerraritheFerrari/918 class of cars, I’d say a hypercar is what you get when you take a supercar and make it too fast and capable for anyone to ever actually use it to its potential. Hypercars are built in the pursuit of

Fair enough.  I was on the receiving end of all the Microsoft timed DLC deals in the PS3/360 era as well, and while it was annoying I honestly didn’t care that much.  The games I really cared about were all PS3 exclusives anyway, and I’m not impatient enough that I can’t wait a month for DLC.  Granted this is a bit

I’m on board with all of that, but everyone else here seems to be mad at Sony.  If they don’t have the rights to Spider Man, then all they did was offer a bunch of cash that Marvel/Square/CD were apparently more than happy to accept.  Lots of misplaced anger here, IMO.
