This. The save point system is great due to exactly this, my enjoyment of the game is helped a lot because of how the systems work together

I have truly not noticed much of what you’re describing except for some blurriness in handheld mode in an early portion of the game. The rest of it has been gorgeous and perfectly acceptable frame rate for a jrpg.
