I feel like this is just not accurate. The books continue on and tell the story how King decided it should be told. I loved them all but then I'm not an amateur book critic

The ending is so powerful and makes so much sense. I can’t believe anyone didn’t understand it would end like that or a version of it. Besides, King warns you not to read on if you couldn’t handle it

There are no troubling social issues beyond what a few fans of the character have made up. I feel they weren’t fans of the games they were fans of a fantasy about a character
