As a chef who has worked in many kitchens that have had big accolades and awards.... it is no surprise that Syd isn’t getting recognition, because that’s not how it works. Carmy running Chef David (Jeff) kitchen, all the writing is going to be on Joel McHale’s character and what “he” is doing. It’s not just hospitality

I know some of her songs, mostly the early stuff, but my staff plays her, so I’m a bit familiar, but she’s not on my Spotify.
But, I checked out the concert on Disney, and... OK, I see why she’s the first one with a billion dollar concert tour, why she’d be “tipping” the truck drivers $100k, etc... She really puts on a

In terms of the film itself, it certainly isn’t up there, but for memorable “Sundance” moments, I think of Kevin Smith’s “Red State”, which was a departure from what he made before.

I get the criticism, I really do... I just disagree that it needed to end with her death. I feel they went with it ending - all through the last episode - with her contemplating her death, and conversations with younger versions of herself was a nice way to do it. Through the show, and I think from my reading of her

It was a bit lower energy and there wasn’t a crazy strange sketch, but I thought it was pretty even-keeled and consistently... humorous. Not a lot of swings for the fences with a couple home runs and a lot of strikeouts, just getting on base.

Ah, Melanie Hutsell... the Girl of 1000 Faces (as long as making the same face 1000 times counts).

Well, that’s what Wallace would like to think.

FYI on McNuggets... the French Chef employed by McDonalds worked out a recipe in ‘79, including the 4 shapes. Knoxville, TN was the first test market in 1980 and it was insanely succesful. So much so that McDonalds decided they needed a dedicated factory just for McNuggets and breed a chicken with extra breast meat to

From what both sides have said, this isn’t a he-said/she-said scenario, everything will be laid out by paperwork and cashed checks. A couple things that jump out at me...

Yes, I was not happy with the overall arc and pacing and how they executed this story line.

I think “Not The Nine O’Clock News” should be on there... It was a small cast, but brilliant people, early on.

For an example, since “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” is #1 (no argument there)... if anyone is familiar with the TV debate where Cleese and Palin debated a couple religious figures (who don’t seem to have

It was lower than the shoulder, but I was hoping as he drove off, the camera would pan down and we’d see her starting to change back to Emilia form to indicate she was still alive and faking.

Now, #4 was Arizona, and it said “Raising Arizona”... are we sure? Because “maybe it was Utah.”

I get the arguement, but I’m still on the fence. Now, we’re talking a universe where some seem to return from the dead - you mentioned Coulsen as a prime example. So, who knows what they may do...

I just wanted to point out the “Cheers” moment (where Norm was played by Jason Sudekis’ uncle)... after Nicholas Colasanto passed after season 3, a picture of Geronimo he had in his dressing room was hung in the bar. One of the last things Ted Danson did in the last ep was straighten it before leaving. Mae, when

Where I would disagree with you is that I am not sure in those cases, the writers were explicitly trying to call out the audience; I think Larry David was doing so.
With GOT, I think they had a good roadmap laid out with the books... but the last book isn’t written. Heck, it still isn’t, at least not out for the public

This is the first time where I’ve seen someone complain about the “Seinfeld” ending that seems to understand what they were doing... but that’s why I like it. Not as an episode, it was rushed and clippy. But you got the point - and the reason I think most people hated it - it turned the mirror on the audience.

This is the last season as the people behind it looked at the story arc they wanted to do, and decided this is where it should end. I respect that.
But this season, I am wondering if they misjudged... maybe they had 2 shorter seasons left to give the story room to be told, like a total of 16 or 18 eps instead of 12.
