Blame It on the Rain

Your Highness Qiaobiluo ended up getting an outpouring of support after the incident, racking up well over half a million followers and becoming the most-searched streamer on DouYu.

Dan Quinn’s doubly an idiot for carrying water for Durkin like this. Politically it’s a bad look that makes him look insensitive, ignorant, or both. And practically it makes no sense since Dunkin’s not gonna let anybody drink any of it.

Durkin thinks about the hundreds of kids who didn’t die. They keep him up at night. His bloodlust is unsated.

It’s because he didn’t do anything truly bad like kneel for the flag.

No cap, no max contract size, no draft, no college basketball, and the bottom four teams at the end of each regular season get relegated to a semipro league and replaced by that league’s top four teams.

Someone needs to tell Moore he doesn’t have enough Pro Bowl appearances to get away with this.

He was 11 years old in that photograph.

Seriously, this is my reaction when that line is trotted out about something exceedingly obvious caught on camera. The “investigation” is the two seconds it takes to watch the dumbass cop blow the stop sign. Case fucking closed.

Here’s an alternative view: this policeman has a position with a lot of power (e.g. the ability to arrest) and he used this power illegally to cover up one of his illegal and potentially deadly mistakes. He should be arrested, punished, and blacklisted from working in this industry for life.

Except the devil; he’s into advocates.

Also according to Fox 2, the Michigan State Police have so far not commented on the incident, citing that it is under investigation.

Not surprised in the least.
“Power tripping a-hole too embarrassed to admit he was breaking the law arrests the other guy to take the blame.”

Can you really do things for public consumption and claim that it’s a private matter or none of anyone’s business?

How much of a narcissist do you have to be to not only comment about an entirely different motorsport during this event, but to make this off-topic comment for the sole purpose of self-glorification?

Counterpoint:

I’d say the game is as good as dead at this point, even though nobody will admit it. I have a feeling it is going the same way as ME: Andromeda, where they publicly say “Yep it has problems and we’re totally committed to fixing them and are in it for the long haul“ and privately they shift resources away and do the

Semenya has been targeted by the IAAF and opponents for years because she has a naturally high level of testosterone.”

Deadspin has dug in their heels on a really bad take with the whole Caster Semenya story. It is just an ugly situation, but that does not mean it is discriminatory. Look, the athletics categories are “male” and “female”, and we are not talking about those categories in terms of which one you personally identify as.
