Enjoyed this write-up. Was really glad for Dirk when the Mavs won in 2011 — that loss in 2006 was some of the biggest bullshit I’ve ever seen in sports. (Right there with Sacramento/Lakers 2002 Game 6 and Hue Hollins’ call on Pippen in 1994.)
Or maybe just lazy. The fact that the two most-watched shows of 2018 were Big Bang Theory and NCIS speaks volumes.
I know, like 90% of the “mysteries” were explained at some point during the course of the show, but people need things to be explicitly detailed, because people are morons.
Oh, for fuck’s sake, with the goddamn polar bear already. Why is that always the default question when someone brings up all the things they missed on the show and/or didn’t bother looking up? I know this stuff isn’t obvious, but come on. It’s all been readily available online for nearly a decade.
Leftovers would be a good candidate for this list and one of the reasons it actually stuck the landing was that its central mystery (“what happened to the people that disappeared”) was never really a priority for the show like it was on Lost. Nora explains what happened, but whether you believe her or not is up to…
No one. Would be nice to see some originality and nonfuckboy material once in awhile though
sequels, pedo bait and shitty use of 3d animations.
As the parent of an adult daughter who hasn’t always made decisions that I would have wanted her to make, let me be the first to say you don’t kick your kids out of the house just because they quit college if you “love them very much.”
I wonder when one of these coaches will recall how getting screamed at by the AD or boosters has a positive impact on their performance.
More than anything else, this encapsulates the need for better healthcare services for patients who aren’t super-rich. Given hospital waiting times, it’s doubtful that most of us would be out of the hospital, home and raping comfortably just six hours after a major injury like that.
A) It’s a news story about a sports owner and Deadspin is a sports site.
Who gives a fuck what Ja thinks at a time like this!?!
Can we get Ja's thoughts on 9/11?
This article is more of a critique of main stream sports media than it is of Kraft. Of course an old, Trump-supporting billionaire who owns an NFL franchise will issue that limp dick non-apology apology. And he would be shocked and appalled if you didn’t believe his good word!
I really struggle with this article. While I completely agree that it is a generic public apology that doesn’t really explain what it is apologizing for, the stance here is made really weird by accusing the apology for not mentioning stuff that aren’t really relevant to it. Like how would the apology be more legit if…
None of that makes this shitty behavior okay.

I cannot imagine anyone who hears about a new MCU movie and thinks, “Well, I’d better check those Rotten Tomato scores before I buy a ticket.”
