Pokedex completion was never necessary. It was a roamer after you beat the league the first time in the originals (and in Emerald you just got to choose which one it was but still only required defeating the league).

I never liked the term right from the get. It implies they aren't as valid a member of my team as the rest and if that were the case I wouldn't still have all of them from my 60K+ hours of play (well, except the ones from Gen 1 and 2 - my Crystal save battery finally gave out after over 12 years earlier this year

Treecko's tail looks like a pair of balls when he fights. You gotta admit.

hello there GBA SP!

I disagree about diversifying, only because I like to go around pretending I'm a traveling Gym Leader. All Fire Pokemon, all the time. Hand out tons of badges (in the form of money) whenever someone beats me. Makes for some tough battles sometimes, but also can be rewarding.

Great thing about sticking around Pokemon for so long: You just kind of get this chart ingrained into your senses.

Get An HM Monster

I don't like that term anymore. :(

So in X/Y, all of the old contest ribbons were consolidated into the Contest Memory ribbons. Same with the Battle Tower ribbons. Can anyone confirmed if they get separated out again and I get credit for something I did almost ten years ago, or do I have to reenter them into contests again? How about that

it's a white fish.

I imagine in a couple of years I wont be so excited about pokemon games.

It seems to be about the same. Personally, I don't mind surfing around, because that's a part of exploration/finding secrets, and diving is an absolute joy. It's just so peaceful and beautiful down there. Of course, I think it helps that I use repels, so I never saw this as an issue to begin with.

The main character from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald was wearing a hat this whole time?!

Patricia, did you play Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire? 'Cuz I'm just curious if Archie still tries to blow up Mt. Chimney while he's standing on it.

Your primary goal is to become the best there ever was

My main problem with this game (as with most of the previous pokemon games really) is that they still chose to make each title so separate.

Now that's just unfair.

After defeating an enemy, if you rub the stylus on the bottom screen when using a Pokemon that has Amie reactions in battle (like looking back at you with a message displayed on being produced from its ball) you will give it a small amount of affection by congratulating it after battle with a head rub.
