I’d argue that there WAS setup for this in the way they used Molly’s power. And the teleporting people and objects from the last few episodes. They’ve clearly developed the tech to use technology to trap or abuse EVOs.

I don’t really think it was. In comparison to most of the other seasons, s1 is good, but it’s not incredible. I watched it all for the first time last year and wasn’t particularly captivated.
