light and sporty?? It is a ~3500# hatchback built on a FWD platform. Not a bad car per se, but in no way is it anywhere near as light and sporty as an integra

Those turbo fans doe

That is incorrect

Well we all found the realtor.

Strangely enough the only one I've seen in person was sitting outside a supermarket in Ridgewood, NJ around 9pm on a Saturday evening. Keys in the ignition, car running, no one inside. The bad side of me seriously thought about jumping in and taking it for a nice cruise through the burbs...

Sawmill is nice, but head a bit further north for the Taconic. Any time of year you have breathtaking views, and nice long sweeping corners.

My guess is that they are only going to get cheaper once the c7 z06 comes out. I'm hoping the c5 z06's take a price hit also....for selfish reasons of course.

I met a guy in the West Village who daily drives one of these things around the city. It is a decommissioned meter-maid car he bought on eBay.

I will stick with $3k miatas for the rest of my life... I can't imagine any $60k car giving me 20x the fun...

The cars that jump out the most to me are the beige, boring cars that are clockin sub 6-second 0-60. A 2014 Camry would smoke an 89 m3 in straight line acceleration

You can not use edmunds, kbb, nada...etc to get the value of any older car that has even a bit of a following. Yes, 10k is far from where this car should land as there are always a few low mileage NAs on craigslist going for 5-6k.

You can get a fully rebuilt stroker from Metric Mechanic for somewhere around $8k I believe, and that is really at the high end of the spectrum.

Hm, I'm no miata expert but I did not realize they had a sport package in 97. Either way, that is an awesome year to have. 1.8L motor, torsen diff and pop up headlights.

Make sure there is no rust. And if the shocks have not been replaced, its something that must be done

Selling the supercharged NA?? Please do share details.

You could also buy 10 NA's for the price of one ND....

So what is the policy with autocrossing a rental car?? ;)

My e30 is about to hit 150k and I feel like I'm just breaking it in!

Having broken down in the Holland Tunnel myself, it actually isn't that bad. There was a service vehicle there in about 5 minutes who proceeded to push me out of the tunnel into a parking space right in Manhattan to wait for a tow.

Have you tried sitting in them? I'm 6'3'' and was pleasantly surprised by how well I fit into an NA miata...which I bought and now daily drive for a 30 mile trip each way.
