2 ton? Try 5500 pounds.

I saw this live last night, I knew it was only a matter of time before it ended up here.

And this is what Jalopnik is all about.

It is kind of a funny story as to why the tap was built at such a wide point in the river. It sits just outside the jurisdiction of the Port Authority, so NY built the bridge as close to the city as they could, while keeping it out of the Port Authority's control in order to collect all revenue + taxes.

I added 20 minutes onto my commute so that I would avoid this bridge and take the FDR...and the FDR sucks so that says a lot

Mmm, those pipes.

Eh, I don't see this making any sort of impact in the Carrera S market. The buyer demographic is just too different. Carrera S folks just want a 911 that is a "little better" than the standard one, and probably don't even know what makes the S the S.

I drove the new dual motor Tesla over the weekend, and I know I'll get flamed for this, but I was pretty unimpressed. Yes, the acceleration is brutal but that appeal would likely wear off fairly quickly.

Way more miatas

A couple Miatas?

I'm with you 110%. I don't think I've ever owned a car and kept it stock.

Sadly Jalops are not the norm. I'd guess that 85% of new porsche owners don't modify anything on their cars.

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned, but I think it comes down to the fact that young people are either not buying cars, or more likely opting to buy a used car.

The only one I've ever seen was sitting in the dealership showroom when these first came out. It is my first vivid car memory. I was obsessed with this car, and the dealer unlocked the doors and let me sit inside and make engine noises.

Miata and boxster are totally different levels of performance. I love my miata and all, but I would trade it for a boxster in a heartbeat.

Wasn't this car dubbed the "jalopnik" version on this site earlier? While most people probably get into it due to the low MSRP, I'd hop on one of these if I was in the market for a new BMW.

Are you sure the eclipse was a great vehicle?

I was actually speaking with my wife about this problem over the weekend. If people took minimal interest in their cars and regularly checked fluids they could easily own a used car for half the price.

Google failed me. Regardless, you can't compare that bloated car to an integra. I think a better comparison would be the fiesta ST, which seems to be selling well and from what i hear, is a hoot to drive
