That’s literally how a hybrid works.  In fact if it can only use the ice in conjunction then it’s less complicated than most hybrids on the market, which can use electric only, ice only or both together in different circumstances. 

I seem to recall the issue was that the ice can/does in fact drive the wheels in certain circumstances, making it a hybrid not an EV with generator, which is what GM were touting it as. 

It’s also interesting that the race was fixed by Williams and McLaren, with Williams agreeing to let the McLaren’s through to take the victory in order to protect JV.

There’s nothing in the article to back up the headlines claims about Le Mans being cancelled, it’s just bullshit click bait. You barely corrected the stuff on “Porsche pulling out”. We expect better (or at least we used to). 

I’m starting to lose sympathy towards the US over it’s lack of healthcare. You get the system you vote for, and despite articles like this it seems you guys have other priorities and vote accordingly. 

IIRC the large CAT trucks are electric, with motors in each of the 4 hubs, and the diesel engine is purely a generator.
