The other giant asterisk - in Dixie’s favor - is the sheer competitive depth of the fields he’s been up against. He’s third all time, and at the rate this season is going I would be surprised if he didn’t get the two wins to put him ahead o Mario Andretti and behind only AJ Foyt.
