This companion piece is also great:

Actually, it makes no fucking sense whatsoever. When you don't vaccinate your kids and they catch measles, you're hurting all of the innocent people who catch measles from your kid. It's the exact opposite of a victimless crime.

I never got that. "Bringing balance to the force"...but there's hundreds of Jedi and just two Sith, so wouldn't balance mean either more Sith or less Jedi? And as it turns out, it was two Jedi - Obi-wan and Yoda. So, balance achieved.

For a future reference, what might be some of the other times that you would recommend dressing up as a giant chicken and stalking a guy you saw on the internet?

My gut says this is news because they want it to be news. Season five is just over the horizon. The holidays are over are we're all back into the regular grind of things. What better way to stoke some gossip and fan interest than letting Harrington appear in public having cut his notoriously uncuttable hair?

It isn't often I would support dressing up like a giant chicken and stalking a guy you saw on the internet, but this is definitely one of those times.

Don't forget "Fool For Love" where we find out that Spike, the bad-ass punk vampire was, in his human life, a foppish terrible poet.

ANDY SERKIS IS THE MESSIAH?!?

people ehh? I dont know if I want people in my neighborhood

My boyfriend at the time LAUGHED at me because I cried when Dobby died.

Australian here. I wasn't allowed to watch Sesame Street as a child because "zee" annoyed my mother so much.

Another victim drawn into Butcher's web! Welcome.

The Dresden Files. Someone told me to start reading them this time last year. I'm now almost done book 13. I have others things to read (The Patrick Rothfuss short, the new Peter F. Hamilton book) and I can't switch.

Just for funsies, a quick correction: Victorian era: 1837-1901. Mary I reigned 1553-1558, in the Tudor era.

Yeah, that doesn't work here as far as I know.

I'm not going to schedule my life around a TV show that I like in order to prop up a dying business model. I want to watch my shows when I want to watch them. In my case, I like to watch entire seasons all at once. I'm a binge watcher. Period. I also pay for Netflix and Amazon Instant Video, and will be paying for HBO

You just had to mention Journeyman, didn't you?

Toby Jones in The Mist, triumph of the little guy. Wish he'd been the main character.

I feel a variation of this has been asked before on io9, and my answer still has not changed.
