FLCL is the kind of show you need to watch multiple times.

This is the fairest review I’ve seen of the game.

Both aspects exist but this is kind of an anti-harem show. Shinji is just at the age that he’s noticing girls and he’s forced into living with a very attractive fully developed woman who teases him and he’s introduced to two girls of his own age who also have no interest in him sexually.

It’s fantastic that the father in FLCL is one of those people who fanatically analyzes Evangelion and writes entire books about the symbolism.

Eva is the prototype for so many amazing anime to follow pretty much this exact formula. Kill la Kill, Gurren Lagann and FLCL are all variations on Evangelion and for obvious reasons for anyone familiar with the shows.
