this has been a long time coming. Once I would have said Steam is untouchable but they didn’t maintain a high enough standard so now they’ve opened themselves up to competition and might quickly loose market dominance if they can’t even be bothered to check if the products they are selling are malware or coin miners.

I do believe it is a huge early game spoiler as you are dropped into the game with no explanation and you have to piece together what is going on because the main character lost his memory for spoilerific reasons and has no idea why he’s in this weird reality.

As for me I just started playing Fallout 4 on Survival and having a blast because it feels like the way the game was meant to be played and I’m not waiting a second…

It may be as simple as they are going to have to have servers for this game anyway so it just makes sense to them to do a Battlenet thing of their own now and they have the brand recognition to pull it off without hurting potential sales.
I bought the game 6 months ago and found it profoundly satisfying in early access. I haven’t played it recently but you could do a hell of a lot worse for $25.
