Quite frankly it’s the only way it can be accomplished so people should really stop bitching about it. Getting there first is all about finding the most efficient system and there are many players competing for that achievement so that’s just how it is and will always be.

I mean, even if I had any interest in the game someone else hitting max level wouldn’t affect my enjoyment of the game unless he started griefing lower level players and impeding their (or my) progression.

This is pretty much exactly how every world first max level player gets there in every game. In Burning Crusade the world first level 70 player had a healer tagging along who wasn’t in his party and wasn’t sharing XP.
He didn’t do it alone but does that make the achievement any less valid or is it more impressive that…
