I'm definitely talking with Doug about ways we can feature more of hiss tuff.

Doug DeMuro's stellar exclusive on Ed Bolian and his record-smashing trip across the United States was not only a ripping tale, it caused quite a bit of debate with former record holders Richard Rawlings and Alex Roy chiming in.

"...and that's why you should always turn into the closest lane to you"

Well, here's my 10V waiting to play after work. Damn thing is going to start and not stop till I put it away wet. Who cares about a gillion HP, I am going to have plenty of fun with my 130

In any case, I am happy to know that I would pass the J. Walter Weatherman Multi-Lane Traffic Turning Test™.

That's why what MN is trying to do is pretty cool. They're kind of defining the culture, and forcing people to zipper in late. This way, nobody feels like they're being "cheated" by the late mergers - and there's little jockeying going on. I wish that more states would do this and try to enact a better, more

Good point. The MN website says something to this point as well.

What about the person that sees you trying to use the zipper merge as an affront to humanity and cuts over to your side to keep you from doing so about 2000 feet before the lane ends? Those folks are the worst. I rarely get road rage but when someone does this it makes me want to commit war crimes.

Once I got over the driving assholery I had as a youth, I follow every one of these, and haven't had a ticket or accident in years. It is just good form. Thanks Jalopnik!

Steelies rule. Chintzy hubcaps suck.

Imagine a picture of someone driving a car with this text over it:

I disagree. I don't see recording a normal routine as attention-seeking because of stuff like this. Bicyclists (and motorcyclists) know that some car drivers look down at them and may do something stupid, either directly at the cyclist or indirectly being jackasses like this old man. So they constantly record just in

Cyclists, commuters in particular, don't run cameras just to troll. They mostly use them because many drivers don't respect their use of the road, even in areas that have clearly marked bike lanes, sharrows, and other signage. Drivers also have this nasty tendency to drive off if they do hit a cyclist. If there is an

How is riding your bike in the bike lane trollish? The fact that there is snow on the sides of the road is irrelevant.

while that image macro is pretty funny, in this particular instance we see no stop sign running or crosswalk use and he's clearly in a bike lane.

Either that or he was just going from point A to point B the quickest and most cost-efficient way. A less restrained person would have keyed the car, but this one did the sensible thing and tried to set the moron straight. Not that he seemed to succeed.....

Dumb comment. If the cyclist uses his bike to commute to work, then it makes sense that he will ride IN THE BIKE LANE on his way to work after it snows.

Many cyclists use helmet cameras so they have some useful evidence to show the police when they get run off the road. Kinda like Russian drivers with their dashcams.

Hmmmm, seems a bit trollish considering the circumstances
