I’ll explain it to you as simply as possible; this asshole didn’t attack the girls because they’re Muslim, he attacked them because of their skin color. Therefore he’s a racist piece of shit. The end.

Pretty sure he could delete his personal account if he wanted to, the posts have all been archived, but that’s neither here nor there. I was addressing the comment that was made stating it’s okay for the POTUS to block people because he could just delete his account if he wanted, and that that would have the same

I acknowledge the fact that he could delete his account, but he hasn’t. That doesn’t really change anything. As long as he’s releasing official Presidential statements via twitter it’s entirely possible (that’s what the courts are for) that it’s unconstitutional for him to stop dissenters from participating in the

In 2011 Pujols hit back-to-back, extra-inning walk-off homeruns to beat the Cubs. As a Cubs fan I’ll remember him as one of the all-time great Cub killers.

“I was running to second, and obviously I’ve been tagged out doing that a couple times, so I thought I’d try running a little bit more to the inside of the line. Obviously I wen’t a little too far inside.”

Even in power, the GOP remains the party of no. Their whole agenda is based on rolling back the progress made by Obama.

What consensus was Obama going to find with the Senate? Inhofe demanded the Paris Accords be submitted to the Senate, knowing full well it would never pass. He refuses to acknowledge the human impact on global warming for christ’s sake. That’s the problem, not Republicans having nothing to do with the deal.

A true first amendment warrior fighting for her right to use racial slurs without repercussion. Happy Memorial Day everyone!

And I’m immediatley back in 1992. Great fucking song.

At the end of the day, it’s just another white guy looking for any loophole he can find to use the N word. I still don’t understand why some people feel such a pressing need to say it.

I really missed the spelling challenge this season, that was consistently one of the best hours on television.

Even if it is continuing it, why is it okay to throw at him? Shouldn’t the appropriate response be to hit your own dinger and slow trot around the bases yourself? I mean, it’s all bullshit anyway, but intentionally trying to hurt a guy should never be the response.

“Race is only a problem in this country to those who make it an issue.”

“I know it’s a new day and age and everybody wants to be on Instagram or Twitter. Also, stay off my goddamn lawn!!

Agree that he’s getting a raw deal, it’s shitty to change the expectations on him now, even if it’s not a formal agreement. However, with studies showing that anywhere from 40% - 90% of retired football players have some form of brain injury, I wouldn’t be surprised if other military institutions begin following suit,

I grew up in a small midwest town. There was no shortage of confederate flag bumper stickers and actual confederate flags flying from pickups. If you want a more specific example: in high school three guys found it hilarious to each wear a t-shirt with a giant “K” and walk down the hallway next to each other all day.

A lot of open racism. Traveled quite a bit for about a year in Washington and there are a lot of small communities that remind me of the farming towns in the Midwest where the Confederate Flag bumper stickers are no big deal.

Not that bizarre if you’ve been to anywhere in Washington outside of Seattle.

Sessions, a guy who would unabashedly defend the concept of separate but equal, thinks the Executive Branch is “more equal” than the Judicial or Legislative Branch when it comes to the separation of powers. Color me surprised.

It’s a well-acted and well-written study of grief that doesn’t delve into sentimentality for its own sake. If that sounds like something you’d be into it’s got a ton of merits.
