A true first amendment warrior fighting for her right to use racial slurs without repercussion. Happy Memorial Day everyone!

At the end of the day, it’s just another white guy looking for any loophole he can find to use the N word. I still don’t understand why some people feel such a pressing need to say it.

I really missed the spelling challenge this season, that was consistently one of the best hours on television.

Even if it is continuing it, why is it okay to throw at him? Shouldn’t the appropriate response be to hit your own dinger and slow trot around the bases yourself? I mean, it’s all bullshit anyway, but intentionally trying to hurt a guy should never be the response.

“Race is only a problem in this country to those who make it an issue.”

“I know it’s a new day and age and everybody wants to be on Instagram or Twitter. Also, stay off my goddamn lawn!!

Agree that he’s getting a raw deal, it’s shitty to change the expectations on him now, even if it’s not a formal agreement. However, with studies showing that anywhere from 40% - 90% of retired football players have some form of brain injury, I wouldn’t be surprised if other military institutions begin following suit,

I grew up in a small midwest town. There was no shortage of confederate flag bumper stickers and actual confederate flags flying from pickups. If you want a more specific example: in high school three guys found it hilarious to each wear a t-shirt with a giant “K” and walk down the hallway next to each other all day.

A lot of open racism. Traveled quite a bit for about a year in Washington and there are a lot of small communities that remind me of the farming towns in the Midwest where the Confederate Flag bumper stickers are no big deal.

Not that bizarre if you’ve been to anywhere in Washington outside of Seattle.

Sessions, a guy who would unabashedly defend the concept of separate but equal, thinks the Executive Branch is “more equal” than the Judicial or Legislative Branch when it comes to the separation of powers. Color me surprised.

It’s a well-acted and well-written study of grief that doesn’t delve into sentimentality for its own sake. If that sounds like something you’d be into it’s got a ton of merits.

That’s what I was trying to get at. I assume the gate agents know United will have to pay near $1300 to involuntarily bump someone from this flight (based on what’s been published this wasn’t going to be a simple 2-hour bump) yet they stopped asking for volunteers at $800. While a $200 increase wouldn’t amount to

Seems like United needs to revisit how they elicit volunteers. According to people on the flight, they stopped at $800. I’d imagine if they’d gone up to $1,000 they would have had a volunteer and could have prevented this whole mess.

Fuck her and any other Trump voter who says “I didn’t know he would do x, y or Z.” You reap what you sow, and Trump told you exactly what he was planning.

I love Real Time because of moments like this. I loathe Real Time because of Bill Maher. His only concern is making his own point and his research amounts to a stack of note cards with statistics that he keeps in front of him, which is why he’s not prepared to counter bullshit like Milo’s claim that “trans people are

I sat with several members of that 40% at a reception the other night. According to them, Trump is great because he “says what they’re all thinking,” they love listening to liberals whine, and if protestors (who don’t know what they’re protesting anyway) blocked their car they’d just run them over. I’m pretty sure

Prospered by getting a job, paying taxes, providing for her family and showing up regularly to meet with ICE agents? Get outta here with that nonsense. You seem like the type of person who complains about the “record” levels of violent crime, yet you’d rather have law enforcement agents spend their time focused on

Thanks, that’s exactly what I meant. Typing while angry never was a strong suit of mine.

This, above all else, is what pisses me off about my party. Going low when they go high makes a great soundbite, but all it does in reality is reward the GOP for their burn-it-all-down approach to governing. I’m sick and tired of watching the leaders and rank-and-file members of the Democratic party “be better than
