I hope they look into CPB, but I doubt it will happen. Every Customs station is run like its own little fiefdom and of course they behave like theirs is the only way to do anything and you’re a fool for believing its done differently anywhere else.

The median income and the median price of a new car have as much to do with each other as the median price of watermelons and the median price of a house.
I’m a big Land Rover fan (we have a 2019 Range Rover, and a rusty old 1984 Defender soon to make its way across the pond once we have our paperwork in order. I also don’t like the new Defender) so I am absolutely the target market for this car. It just looks odd, like a fake brand or a generic Grand Theft Auto video…
Good engineering isn’t cheap and even at $4 billion he’s getting value for money since Ratcliffe is starting a full production car company and not a boutique outfit like Glickenhaus.
If F HE HAD played his cards right, Musk could have become the first aerospace trillionaire. The effects of his stupidity on world governments’ and NASA’s opinions about Space-X viability are the real damage. Who wants to partner with an impulsive, egotistical man-baby on the future of space exploration and planetary…
Not cold hearted at all. My thought was, “You have to be one dumb SOB to drive in a blizzard like this one if you absolutely do not have to do it.” The only thing dumber is doing so and not being prepared for the absolute worst.
As long as they have battery plants Tesla will remain a very valuable company, whether they remain independent or not remains to be seen. We always talk of Tesla like a car company, when in reality, they’re a battery company that also makes things those batteries can be used in. Their cars are okay as best, but their…
Why would they? The only thing of any real value at Tesla is the Supercharger network, and it isn’t worth the price of the whole company. There is nothing unique at Tesla other than Musk’s willingness to be stupid about various things.
I bet a few major manufacturers get together and buy the whole thing. The total asset value of Tesla is way lower than its market valuation, less than $70 billion. Ford/VW Group could definitely afford to purchase the assets, but the market valuation is really the issue.
I worked with a guy who grew up in N. Dakota and he told me about the winter survival gear that everyone carried in their car. Made a lot of sense.
Trade it in to whatever major manufacturer acquires the Tesla brand at fire sale prices and get yourself a new car.
I think, or at least hope, that Americans currently remain aware that gas prices go up as well as down and tend to change over time. They will forget it again soon, though.
Not only that, but Tesla’s primary market segment of first adopters were the ones who believed in Saint Elon, the visionary liberal, futurist. His behavior over Twitter has pretty much dispelled all parts of that image. How many of his followers want to follow Elon the alt-right slur-champion and world renowned…
Tesla could be about to tank terminally, which raises the question of just what do you do with your highly software dependant, subscription driven, car when the parent company ceases to be? Thinking of buying a Tesla, think about what happens when it is no longer supported and counting the days until it bricks itself…
It would be interesting to see the After-Action Report, or AAR. How many of the stranded vehicles had winter survival kits? How many had proper winter tires? How many of those drivers absolutely had to be on the road? Was their enough media blitz warning against this (through FB, social media, TV, radio, etc.)? If so,…
I agree with your final conclusion, but I think the Tesla price drop is mostly because the early EV adopter market is reaching saturation. (also due to Elon/Twitter/Chaos, but I think it’s mainly market forces).
In my mind, I cannot conceive these 2 words: EV and GT-R.
A lot of ad hominems here.
I am looking forward to all the commenters set up several multi-billion dollar companies and stay as nice as they show they are.
What? Is the body made out of 14 caret gold? Where is the “ 6 million” dollars worth of anything? It looked like a big beluga whale on wheels. I’d literally be too embarrassed to be seen driving this thing and even more embarrassed to admit I had spent 6 million dollars on it.
The tiny taillights make this look like a bad photoshop.
