My understanding is that once they file to move the case to Federal court, that automatically moves it to Federal court, who can then decide no, this is a state matter, and kick it back. But this is basically a delaying tactic from Musk, meaning that once the motion to move to Federal is filed, it basically means the

Yup.  That’s how literally any person who isn’t insanely rich would be treated.  There’s no reason Musk should get different treatment.

Judge ought to have issued a bench warrant on the spot.

People who never plan to buy an EV: “Missed opportunity. If it had 550 miles of range, I’d be all over this and pay in cash”

The base model starts at $69,900. Are you surprised that a bleeding-edge tech luxury car is $111,000?

This is what happens when the government outsources critical missions to private companies. Just nationalize Boeing and SpaceX already - it would be nice to see them run competently.

Depreciation: then go buy a slightly used EV that has already been hit with the depreciation hammer. That’s what I did and with the $4k tax credit it was a fantastic deal!

I leased my model 3 IN SPITE OF Musk. But since then he’s become even more unhinged, and I won’t do it again. The reason I chose the Model 3 at that time was that the Volvo EX30 was nowhere to be found (still isn’t available) and there was a huge shortage of Toyota hybrids and other EVs.

No normal person would buy a Tesla. No even halfway rational person would buy a Tesla. You’re financing one of the most dangerous people on the planet.

The normal people I know who bought Teslas no longer own them. *Eight* former owners in my circle of friends and coworkers. All got rid of them due to disgust with the ownership experience. That is telling to me.

Let me rush out and buy a car from this piece of shit.

Wow, I wasn’t aware of that. It’s baffling that a British company would create such a compromised vehicle for its home market.  That hump would be a pain in the ass on longer highway drives and I am sure it would make legit offroading more challenging.  I wouldn’t want to have to balance my body while also balancing

Not to mention in Australia and other RHD countries there’s a big bump in the driver’s footwell from the drive train so one leg is permanently elevated and you can’t stretch out.

oh crap! the government is knocking at my door forcing me to by an electric car.. HEEELLPP MEEEEE!!!

Oh wow grandpa that's so interesting, let's get you back to bed now.

I like thinking about the bullshit the anti-EV people say while I am driving my Model Y that I recently purchased. It’s so much less of a pain in the ass to drive than the ICE cars I own and certainly less money, especially when plugged into my Solar PV install.

You forgot to mention that Lucid is run by lizard people.

There’s stupid.

I saw one of these in the wild for the first time last weekend and it is a bit of a head scratcher for me. While I certainly can appreciate a capable, durable, and rugged offroader and what is essentially slightly off-looking restomodded Landie, the high price, fairly low power, and terrible fuel economy make this car

The way electric cars are able to put power on the ground is simply mindblowing. The Lucid is a marvel of engineering.
