Yeah you make some good points. The Bronco looks good in my opinion - hope it works as well. We’ve never had it here in Australia. And you’re right, the Defender is pretty rudimentary in a lot of ways, even in my 2016 model.

I would like to agree, but the old Defender was selling in minute numbers by the end of its production. I’m not sure if the new one would have run off the lot if it was marketed as a pure, hard core offroader. Still think they should have done it though.

Agreed. You need an offroad halo vehicle even if it’s not your biggest seller.

Stylistically underwhelming and a big missed opportunity. I guess they want soft-roader looks for more mass-market appeal. As an owner of a previous generation Defender, I don’t feel a single twinge of desire or interest looking at this. Maybe Land Rover would think that’s a good thing.
