This whole comment thread strikes me as a bunch of entitled, do-what-I-want people objecting to following rules laid out by the lecturer of their course.

I tend to find conservatives don’t have a real or deep sense of humor. They laugh at things sometimes, but not because they’re genuinely amused. It’s one reason I find them so hard to relate to.
