Bill Maher and Anne Coulter are friends too. Weird.

The cult of ‘the rights of the individual above all else’ is killing America.
Being free not to vote eventually allows this kind of shit we see right here.
I’m afraid I think it looks very ugly.
Freddy Flintoff was a world-class cricketer before his media career, not a try-hard celebrity wannabe. And he’s since proved himself an engaging and laid back TV host on several different shows. I’d give him a go before writing the experiment off.
Anyone see that recent footage of an old dude breaking up a fight at a sports stadium? He just reached up between the aggressor’s legs and gave his nuts a twist. That brought the whole thing to a screeching halt.
One thing I really hate about soccer is the scorer running away from their teammates to keep all the glory. Australia’s best player Tim Cahill used to actively push them away if they tried to come up and hug him.
As an Australian looking in, a lot of this seems to stem from deciding that the rights of the individual (to vote or not) trumps the good of the body politic (where everybody’s vote counts). Rorting and manipulation have ensued.
Was this like bringing Nascar to Portland - a sport the city just wasn’t that into?
Well at least that will turn their Nazis and KKK aficionados off them.
Ouch
Hahahah!
I don’t follow American football, but is Eli Manning Dennis Quaid’s character in Any Given Sunday? Old and worn out, but with a wife who will slap his face if he shows weakness?
I’ve commented before on how many odd-looking people there are in politics. And I’m pretty sure a lot of them find powerful subconscious gratification in ruling over everyone who (in their imaginations) used to torment them in grade school.
Y Tu Mama Tambien was amazing to me. I’ll go see this.
The VW Grand California is a great van life and touring vehicle, but I’m hoping they’re going to start making them electrical, even if range anxiety persists a few more years.
There was a farmer on TV last night who was pro Monsanto Roundup, but also a firm believer in man-made climate change and the need for action. It was such a relief to listen to someone who didn’t have blanket, monolithic opinions that all skewed the same way.
Same here. I was thinking ‘Will they export it to Australia? Looks good.’
Sometimes I try to imagine the full horror, sadness and trauma of people who survived such experiences in the Holocaust - and I fail.
I don’t know which way the new owners of the UFC see as more profitable long-term. Is it more drama to amp up an audience they see as similar to wrestling, or is it more legitimacy so MMA might one day become an Olympic sport and expand it’s audience that way.
