I realized after you posted that I misunderstood what you said, but it was too late to change it.

In the 60's, my parents went to a wedding in Ohio. In Ontario where we are from, it was traditional to throw confetti at weddings, but in Ohio, people threw rice. My Mom and Dad brought a bag of confetti and were throwing it, but it pissed off the bride’s sisters who kept trying to pick it off her, so they stopped.
