@HideoFTW: I respect your optimism and drive to be a better person. I can say there are things in my own life I worked past instead of letting my genetics or parental influence kick in so I could make excuses for myself. I worked through them and get mad when I see others use those same excuses to skate by in life.

@HideoFTW: Lazy misunderstood parenting is when you don't get your kid in a program to seek help, living in denial that they even have the disability. "It's quite possible for them to understand socializing" is a blanket statement and does not apply to all cases since everything is on a spectrum. Go ahead and try

"while using what I feel I should point out is the dirtiest Xbox 360 controller I've ever seen. "

@beginattackrun: yes you are wrong. autism is a disability and what you consider "stepping up" would be like telling a parent to make their blind kid see. im sure shes getting help for him, the fact that he is diagnosed says a lot.

My wife loves FPS games but hates playing online. She is either called a "bitch" right off the bat, or she gets friend invites from guys who didn't have mics (creepy.) And just because a woman is showered with attention the moment they are playing the game or speak up does not mean it is any better than getting

@Dralel: Which is funny because it was only a little over 3 years ago that COD4 came out and redefined the franchise, and in some ways the genre, and knocked Halo off its pedal stool.

@Yukichin: PS1 games created a new standard of releases being $50, and first party titles being $40. Wii is currently doing much the same thing, with $50 being the cap and many releases hitting $40. DS games are mostly $30, with first party titles and some RPG's hitting $35, and on occasion (but rare) are games $40,

Wow, that Link either has a tiny head or giant limbs. Unfortunately there is some near nude female blocking my view to know for sure. :[

@Xaif: Agreed.

@Xaif: From what I read Nintendo didn't invent the 3d screen, it was actually developed for portable DVD players. So don't be surprised when other manufacturers use the glasses free soon as well. But maybe by the time those other companies starting rolling out their products the price will come down.

Nintendo is the behemoth they are today in large part because of their handheld dominance, and arguably it is owed a lot to the price of their handhelds over the years.

@interkin3tic: Good point. Other uncomfortable terms: bookworm, foodie, cosplayer. All i got so far.

@EcksJay22: I agree. The whole point is that just labeling something as "gamer" doesn't mean that all of a sudden all gamers are the same like we are a special group. We aren't. People who play games are a diverse group, and even within that group if there is a distinction of only "gamers" who unabashedly love

Well put EcksJay22. Above all other forms of entertainment, games are my favorite, but I don't consider myself a gamer by what the social definition seems to be. I know I strongly hate the term way when I see "gamer" branded consumer goods. It is as if being a gamer automatically makes you gravitate to these

"[It] wasn't done with fancy computers. It was done the old-fashioned way. With artists."

My only concern is the player shooting looks really slow. Generally in any shooter the player shoots much faster than the enemies, and the bullets in this look like they are trudging through sludge. Other than that it looks great.

Collecting games is not hoarding.
