I figured it was more "Money can be exchanged for goods and services."

No, women catch a lot of grief for it on Halloween too. (And not just on Halloween- for some reason, the fiercely protective wing of con-goers deeply resent women who show up in skimpy cosplay, but have no such antipathy for the artists who came up with the damn design for those costumes.)

He'll spend the entire second season trapped by mountain lions. Or whatever the Irish version is. Púcas, I guess.

Oh, it'll definitely be terrible, I just wasn't sure it would keep him from being taken seriously as an actor (his attempt at an American accent will).

You know what's particularly annoying? It's hard to have a conversation about why the glut of "sexy" costumes is problematic because so many bros and prudes will assume you're on their side, which is "Stop being sluts, you stupid sluts." The same thing happens when you try to explain what was wrong with Miley Cyrus'

Honestly, I think Hunnam's worries were kind of baseless, or at least not on the level of Robert Pattinson's; he and Dornan both have an actual body of work already, whereas Pattinson's only career highlights were a YA franchise and then another, much worse YA franchise. Apples and blood oranges.

All I've seen him in is "The Fall," wherein he played a serial killer. I have no interest in "50 Shades of Grey" but now maybe I'll see it just to pretend he's playing that character.

Putting the "flake" in "special snowflake."

Seriously, though, this will probably work. Like-minded people gave George Zimmerman all the money he needed and this guy didn't even kill anyone. It's extremely easy to monetize Pissing The Libruls Off.

I was fired from my job due to lies and my exercise of freedom of speech

Mother of Christ.

I DIDN'T NOTICE HE WAS BLACK BECAUSE I DON'T SEE COLOR, MANNNNN. I'D CALL ANY PRESIDENT RACIALLY-NEUTRAL TERMS LIKE "CHICAGO GANGSTER THUG" AND INSIST THEY WERE SECRETLY FOREIGN.

I am beginning to suspect all the white people who said racism was Over (tm) might not have been speaking from knowledge.

I think it's the opposite of demonstrating that people's feelings matter to you. It's saying "It's unfortunate that you're offended, but fuck you, that's your problem."

Fedora Few Dollars More.

That mostly pisses me off because of the distinction it implies between hillbillies and criminals.

Yes. Doesn't make it not misogynistic, and given Gervais' habit of flinging around slurs for people with Down's syndrome and sorry-if-anyone-was-offended-ing, I'm not inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

If you use gendered slurs, you are an asshole, or Ricky Gervais. But I repeat myself.

First of all, lemme let you in a little secret: it is, in fact, possible to be angry about more than one thing at once. I know, right?

Spare me your patronizing bullshit about what a benevolent white savior you've been to the poor ignorant savages, okay? It doesn't change the fact that you're here specifically to defend racism, and it's frankly kind of fucked up that (on the off chance you're not making up your Fantastic Third-World Adventure) you're
