Great answer. I agree, and think a Ford Transit Connect represents the best combo of room and reliability for something easy to park in the city.

I love the interior and most of the exterior styling, but the upswept rear sheetmetal ruins the looks from the side. They should have used more glass back there... it might have even helped with weight balance.

All three suggestions are great. For variety, I’d add in the stretched Infiniti Q70L, the desirable but poor-selling Kia K900 and Lincoln’s excellent Continental. All are reliable, comfortable, and have room for days.

The 505 wagon was sold here in the 80s, and might be an even better choice. They’re built like tanks and pack a lot of interior space considering their reasonably manageable, 16-foot, length.

He’s right, though. 505s are fantastic cars ...incredibly durable and smooth riding.

I love the current generation K900, but it’s been on the market for a year and I’ve yet to see one on the road. Also - small correction - the K900 is only sold with AWD in the U.S.

Brand snobbery aside, the X1/9 is more appealing than the 914, with nicer styling inside and out.

Tesla fanatics really seem to hate journalists, but saying they didn’t report the facts here is a stretch.
