I’m impressed how level that Ford sits with all those people and gear aboard.

Written by John Carpenter, starring Tommy Lee Jones and Linda Hamilton, and about a car entirely made from flat panels that runs on water and goes 325 MPH. What’s not to love?

Yeah, no kidding. I have a 2006 G35x (the last good year).  It’s been a tank (over 145k miles, no issues), and a blast to drive.

With steak instead of ground beef substance.

I wasn’t wearing a helmet. They were new back then, so the tracks were really quiet, and the engine exhaust is out the back. They have a nickname of ‘the whispering death’. My point is, little obnoxious noises are not going to change anything but make life noisier.

It’s the same at Disneyland. However, in my experience it is a non-issue. 99x out of a 100 parking is straight-in, with a sidewalk where chargers exist. My Ford Focus Electrics had them on the fender.

How often do you see this?  Is there free charging at your work?

I thought you were referring to the charging point in the rear.  Tesla superchargers have short cables, so they need to be on the drivers side.  Most other ones have pretty long cables, so what difference does it make?

When I was in the Army I almost walked into the path of an Abrams tank.  Those things are sneaky, and people are stupid.

Why?  A huge percentage of US EVs on the road today have them there.

I agree that engine sounds are nice, briefly.  But, usually, it’s just extra noise.

Just for laughs, what kind of car do you drive?

What do they do on weekends?  Or long holidays like Christmas?  Couldn’t they consider they do the same thing?  Isn’t this this same as idling a plant to adjust inventory (with no labor costs?)

Industrial uses still run against the terrible inefficiency of Hydrogen problem. True, batteries can be heavy. But my car weighs about what a 3 class weighs and can go about 300 miles.

Hydrogen is stupid full stop. First you have to zap the water to get the Hydrogen. This is the only energy that is available for use.

Souls are made by Kia.

... and rust.

You are so right.

I hear you. There have been 3 times old/fat people had a heck of a time getting in the front seat of my Model 3. I’m middle-aged and ~6' 200# and I pop in and out of there, no problem.

You are so right. ~7 years ago when gas was ~$5 a gallon my commute was 1 hour in the morning, and 1.5 hours at night. I was driving an Infiniti G35x, which got ~16 MPG (in stop and go traffic). I ran the numbers and I figured I could lease an electric car for less than $300 a month, and save ~1/2 my commute time by
