They are steering wheel controls. They are not labeled because they are multi-function. They can control all sorts of things. Normally when driving the left one is the ‘radio’ volume/track control, and the right one is the adaptive cruise control control. I don’t miss the steering wheel on my Ford Focus Electrics at

Did you notice that if you click the right scroll wheel right/left it changes the following distance?

If you have to you can set up ~15 ‘users’. You could set up 1 for local, 1 for highway.

So does the Model 3. It’s the left scroll up/down on the steering wheel.  Adaptive Cruise controls are the right steering wheel control.

The driver almost clipped the silver SUV @ .15.  That sucker is wider than it appears.
