Shirley,

It’s not ‘smug’, it comfortable. I was recently laid off. I was out of work for 4 months. Then, I started a new company with a couple of partners making practically 1/2 of what I was making before. Because my bride and I are savers who live way under our means our lifestyle did not change too much.

I was thinking about those. Not a bad idea at all. I’m leaning toward kitting out a 4x4 transit. I saw a super high roof one yesterday. It was under 20' long, and huge inside.

Improvised wheel fender extension with duct tape, Apollo 17

I’ll take this with a Model S powertrain conversion. Near identical wheelbase and track.

Fenders that turn and move up and down with the wheels are awesome!

Nope, this is coolest wheel ever. And they came stock on a GM.

Technically this is a fully self contained off road camper, sometimes with a toad.

I’m pretty sure that will neither go off road like a Jeep, nor fit in a normal parking space like van. Stupid Kinja took off the van pick.

Government

This is the best advice right here:

At least Mayor Yoga Pants got to feel all warm and smug over the purchase.

And why are we peppering him?

I’m not sure all HEMMTs are armored. I was comparing a truck to a helicopter. That’s it. Let’s not pick fly poop out of pepper.

My little post was only supposed to give a flavor of the design compromises inherit in rotorcraft design. Not be a doctoral dissertation covering all aspects of flight.
